Buchanan Hosting
Private Cloud service goes live
We are pleased to announce the expansion of our private Cloud Computing service, with the addition of a new system hosted within a UK based ISO27001 compliant data centre.
Our new Cloud platform provides a highly reliant, highly available and secure private cloud on which to host your own and Buchanan Computing applications.
Scaled for hundreds of simultaneous users, our servers have been tuned to provide a particularly high performance environment for Geographical Information Systems, such as ParkMap and AccsMap. GIS requires particular expertise to achieve satisfactory performance in the cloud, and we are proud to say that we have achieved this and enabled desktop applications to run as quickly as on an individual desktop PC (and in many cases quicker!).
The London Borough of Hillingdon is the first UK authority to host a range of their applications (including ParkMap, AccsMap, LineMap and SignPlot) on the Buchanan Hosting platform.
