SignPlot meets Eurocodes
Spring sees the release of another enhancement to SignPlot.
Spring sees the release of yet another major enhancement to SignPlot, Buchanan Computing’s innovative traffic sign design system. SignPlot has incorporated sign support design to BS EN 12899-1 for several years, but now that this Eurocode has replaced BS 873 as the UK standard for traffic signs, the facilities have been enhanced. There is a much larger choice of support sections, and guidance from the draft National Annexes to both the signs and wind loading standards has been incorporated. However, the most visible improvement in version 1.8 is the addition of thumbnail miniatures of blocks, enabling a sign or symbol to be selected from a full screen of images.
